From Bucket List to Business
In January 2025, while home with my newborn son, I decided to finally cross one thing off my bucket list: learn how to make a quilt.
I inherited my sewing machine from a very special woman who inspired me to begin this journey. I named her “Mary Jo” in her honor, as a little reminder of where it all started every time I sit down to sew.
I had never sewn before, but what began as one bucket-list project quickly became so much more. Every quilt, every stitch, and every new project helped me discover a creative passion I never knew I had.
Today, Quilty Jilly is my way of sharing that joy by creating handmade quilts, clothing, keepsakes, stuffed animals, and custom pieces that become part of life’s most meaningful moments.
Creativity Without Limits
One of my favorite things about sewing is that there’s always something new to create.
While quilting will always have my heart, I love bringing all kinds of ideas to life- from quilts and baby blankets to clothing, stuffed animals, home décor, and completely custom projects.
No two creations are ever exactly alike, and that’s what makes this work so special. I love collaborating with customers to create pieces that reflect their personalities, celebrate milestones, and become treasured keepsakes for years to come.

Every piece is thoughtfully designed, cut, sewn, and finished by me in my little home studio in Jacksonville Beach, with a little help from Mary Jo, the sewing machine that started it all.
Because every item is handmade, I take my time choosing quality materials, paying attention to every detail, and creating something I’m truly proud to put my name on. There are no assembly lines or shortcuts here- just careful craftsmanship and a genuine love for creating.
